But talkSPORT have claimed that the club will reject any offers for the forward.
The 22-year-old scored 14 goals in the Premier League last campaign and was one of just two Blues players to reach double digits alongside talisman Cole Palmer.
He joined the club from Villarreal in a deal worth £35million several months after a move to Bournemouth collapsed due to an injury issue flagged during a medical.
As reported by Mail Sport, Chelsea are locked in talks with Atletico over a swoop for ace Samu Omorodion in their bid to bring in more firepower in this window.
Omorodion, 20, has also attracted interest from West Ham and Nottingham Forest after an impressive loan spell at Alaves, where he scored eight goals in LaLiga.
It is understood that Italian giants Roma, AC Milan and Napoli have also expressed interest in the youngster but Atletico are reluctant to sell him cheaply.
Jackson, meanwhile, may not be fully fit for the start of Chelsea's pre-season campaign after suffering an ankle injury on international duty with Senegal.
The frontman limped out of the 1-1 draw against DR Congo in a World Cup qualifier last week and subsequently missed out on the 1-0 victory against Mauritania.
A statement released by the Senegalese FA read: 'Nicolas Jackson injured his right ankle during the Senegal-DRC match on June 6, 2024.
'Radiology examinations carried out on June 7 revealed a serious sprain of the ankle.'
New Blues boss Enzo Maresca will be hopeful that Jackson can recover in time to be available for the club's pre-season tour of the USA next month.
Maresca, overseeing his first off-season trip, will take charge of friendly matches against Celtic, Club America, Manchester City and Real Madrid.
Elsewhere, Chelsea are continuing parallel negotiations over Aston Villa striker John Duran. The Blues have ramped up their interest in the £40m man in recent weeks.
