In what was Todd Boehly's first full season in charge of the Blues, then-boss Mauricio Pochettino oversaw a haul of new signings over the summer.
Moises Caicedo joined for £115m from Brighton, breaking the British transfer record while the the club also spent big on the likes of Leipzig's Christopher Nkunku and Southampton's Romeo Lavia.
However, of all of the new arrivals none settled quite so quickly at Stamford Bridge as one Cole Palmer.
After joining the club in a £42.5m deal from Man City with just three Premier League starts under his belt, Palmer became a talismanic figure for Chelsea, netting 22 goals in his maiden campaign.
As a result of his breakout success, Palmer's FPL price has risen to £10.5m for next season, an increase of more than £5m from his Chelsea debut.
The rise of £5.5m breaks the previous record increase of £5m which was bestowed upon Andy Carroll prior to his first full season at Liverpool in 2011.
Carroll's four goals from 35 appearances at Anfield failed to justify such a hefty increase, and his price had shrunk to £9.1m by the end of the season.
Next to feature on the list is Harry Kane, who saw his price rice from £4.5m to £9.5m ahead of the 2015-16 campaign.
Unlike Carroll however, Kane would more than justify the price by netting 25 league goals as Spurs came within touching distance of Premier League glory before missing out to Leicester.
While Palmer won't come cheap to FPL players next season, he is still significantly less expensive than his former Man City teammate Erling Haaland.
After another prolific season at the Etihad, the Norwegian's FPL price has risen to £15m for next season, an all-time FPL record.
